Tonkon Talk Maps an Entrepreneur’s Journey

Tonkon Torp business attorney Brenda Meltebeke hosted the May 2 Tonkon Talk featuring guest speaker Nate Taggart. Nate, the co-founder of Stackery, Inc. shared his journey as an entrepreneur: from leaving his job to start a new company and joining the Seattle Techstars accelerator program, to the recent closing of a $5.5 million financing round.
 
Brenda is Co-Chair of the firm's Entrepreneurial Services Practice Group. She provides startup and emerging growth clients with business counseling and general corporate legal services. She also works with companies at all stages of growth on corporate formation, governance and dissolution issues, financing, and M&A transactions, as well as on negotiating and documenting various types of contractual arrangements. In addition, she represents several angel funds with respect to their formation, compliance, and portfolio company investments.

“Tonkon Talks in the Pearl" is a series of lunch-hour presentations hosted by the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services Practice Group. They are held on the first Wednesday of most months at the firm's CENTRL Office location in the Pearl District. The talks provide an overview on legal topics that impact entrepreneurs and startups.
