Blerina Kotori Speaks at Annual BOLI Employment Law Conference

Tonkon Torp partner Blerina Kotori spoke at the annual Employment Law Conference for the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI). Her session was on sexual harassment and implicit bias in the workplace. Blerina discussed how implicit bias informs decisions and conduct toward protected groups. She shared methods to identify and remedy implicit bias, and applied harassment principles to specific examples to illustrate her points. She closed her session by offering ways to prepare for a new wave of employment litigation which may incorporate the use of implicit bias evidence on an individual and class action basis.

Blerina is a partner in Tonkon Torp's Labor & Employment and Information Privacy & Security practice groups. She represents and defends employers in employment matters including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour compliance, leave laws, and employment benefits.
