Tonkon Torp partner Abby Landon spoke to financial and estate advisors about Oregon's property laws at an event hosted by the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation (OJCF) Professional Advisors Group. During the presentation, "State to State: Community Property in Oregon," Abby and a co-presenter discussed the differences between common law and community property law, and how to best advise clients in matters pertaining to management of each type of property, estate tax, debt, and liability.
Abby is the Chair of Tonkon Torp's Estate Planning Practice Group, and a partner in the Business Department and Tax Practice Group. Abby has significant experience in multiple-generation trust and estate planning, family business succession planning, corporate tax law, and tax partnerships. She also assists clients in navigating probate and trust administration and disputes.
