Tonkon Torp business attorneys Jeff Cronn and Ben Lenhart are featured in the new “Thought Leader Forum,” focused on the topic of mergers and acquisitions. The “Thought Leader Forum” was published as a supplement in today’s Portland Business Journal. Jeff and Ben are interviewed in the article along with M&A experts from accounting firm DiLorenzo & Company and investment banking firm Veber Partners. 
The conversation centered upon what founders of family run businesses must consider when their succession planning involves a sale, including: timing a sale for best value, the pros and cons of founders taking an operational role in an equity deal, and how best to package a business for prospective buyers.
Jeff is a partner at Tonkon Torp, where he has chaired the firm’s Business Department since 2008. His legal practice emphasizes merger and acquisition transactions, and a range of corporate and business matters.
Ben’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, general business, corporate, and securities law matters, business transition preparation and planning, and commercial finance transactions. Ben joined Tonkon Torp in 2017 as a partner in the firm’s Business Department.
