Eric Beach Shares Cyber Security Best Practices with Nonprofits
On September 7, Eric Beach led a program for nonprofit organizations on safeguarding customer and business information in response to the ever-increasing risk of a cybersecurity breach. After providing steps to take during a risk assessment, Eric shared best practices for creating and implementing a formal security policy. He also walked through the benefits of cyberliablity insurance, explaining what is typically covered, and what could be excluded. The program was hosted by the firm's Nonprofit & Tax-Exempt Entities Practice Group.
As a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, Eric focuses his practice on advising clients on the value and business impacts of intellectual property, creating and negotiating technology and software licenses, and protecting clients' trademark, patent, copyright, and trade secret rights contractually and through litigation in both federal and state court.
