Tonkon Torp was a sponsor at the State Capital Walk, held on September 16 by the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter of the ALS Association. Rocky Dallum was the lead attorney and participated in the walk with his team, Mike's Meanderers, named after his mother, Ilene "Mike" Dallum, who lost her battle with ALS in 1999. The ALS Association leads the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy. With help from many of his Tonkon Torp colleagues, Rocky was able to surpass his fundraising goals of $3,000, while the ALS Walk itself raised nearly $70,000. Rocky and Tonkon Torp were acknowledged in a full page ALS Association ad listing this year's top Walk to Defeat ALS contributors, published in the Portland Business Journal.
