Phil Moran Joins Tonkon Torp as Facilities Manager
Phil Moran has joined Tonkon Torp as its Facility Services Manager. He is responsible for the firm's internal hospitality services, as well as facilities maintenance and operations. Moran will play a significant role on the Tonkon Torp Space Planning Committee as it reviews options and implements plans related to the firm’s office space at the Pioneer Tower.
Moran will also sit on the firm's Sustainability Committee and participate in the firm’s longstanding and award-winning environmental awareness and stewardship program. Additionally, he will serve on the Internal Information Security Committee and the Safety Advisory Group to help contribute to the security of the firm and to the safety of the workplace.
Moran joins Tonkon Torp after 34 years working for the law firm Stoel Rives LLP, where he served as their construction, property, facility, and sustainability manager. During his tenure at Stoel Rives, Moran led the firm though a complete nine-floor remodel and spent four years planning and implementing the firm's move into the Park Avenue West Tower. Moran led the Stoel Rives sustainability committee and implemented the sustainable office practices and the LEED platinum certification of their new offices. He also coordinated the firm's annual workplace giving campaign for 14 years.
Moran is a lifelong resident of Portland, Oregon. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Lewis & Clark College. He is a current member, past president, and past board member of the International Facility Management Association, Oregon & SW Washington Chapter.
