Independent Contractors are Focus of March Tonkon Talk

On March 1, Labor & Employment attorney Kristin Bremer Moore gave a Tonkon Talk focused on independent contractors and non-competition agreements to an audience of entrepreneurs and startups.

Kristin provided guidance on crafting enforceable non-competition agreements and shared advice on how to avoid common pitfalls. She also discussed the pros and cons of using independent contractors, and reviewed the risks for companies who misclassify independent contractors.

“Tonkon Talks in the Pearl” is a series of lunch-hour presentations hosted by the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services Group. They are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the firm’s CENTRL Office location in the Pearl District. The talks provide an overview on legal topics that impact entrepreneurs and startups.
