Tonkon Torp Receives Honors at CEJ Awards Luncheon

On February 21, Tonkon Torp was honored with the “Large Firm Award,” and as a “Defender of Justice” at the annual Awards Luncheon held by the Campaign for Equal Justice (CEJ).

The Large Firm Award is in recognition of Tonkon Torp’s consistently high participation in CEJ’s annual fund drive, which has raised more than $25 million in 25 years for Oregon’s statewide legal aid programs. The Defender of Justice designation is given to firms whose average per lawyer contribution to the CEJ annual fund drive is in the $500 to $999 range.

“Tonkon Torp has long been passionate about helping Oregon’s most vulnerable people access legal representation,” said Tonkon Torp managing partner Darcy Norville. “Our lawyers and staff are staunch supporters of CEJ and we are proud that our firm is consistently among the top contributors for the annual fund drive.”

This year, Tonkon Torp’s successful CEJ campaign drive was co-led by Daniel Skerritt, Kristin Bremer Moore, and Michael Willes. The firm has been a leader in CEJ’s fundraising efforts since the organization formed in 1991. Ron Greenman, Don Marmaduke, Daniel Skerritt, and Darcy Norville have all served in leadership positions with CEJ over the years.
