Tonkon Torp made a financial contribution to Minds Matter of Portland in March. Minds Matter is a nonprofit organization working to transform the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families. Their goal is to equip underprivileged high school students with the tools to gain acceptance to a four-year university and navigate the financial aid process. James Hein organized the donation; he has served on the Minds Matter board of directors since 2005.
