Logan, Brown and Tinker Cover Legal Realities for Cannabis Entrepreneurs

At the December 2 “Tonkon Talk” hosted by the Entrepreneurial Services Practice Group of Tonkon Torp, attorneys Tatiana Logan, Claire Brown, and Alex Tinker spoke to more than 40 entrepreneurs and professionals about legal issues facing cannabis-related businesses in Oregon’s newly legalized marijuana industry. The attorneys discussed unique issues in structuring and financing cannabis, banking challenges, and special risks and liability considerations.

Logan, a partner in Tonkon Torp's business department, co-chairs the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group and assists clients with corporate and securities laws issues. Brown is a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurial Services practice groups and counsels clients on various business and fundraising matters. Tinker is a member of the Litigation Department where he represents and advocates for companies on a broad range of business matters.

"Tonkon Talks in the Pearl" is a series of lunch-hour presentations held on the first Wednesday of each month at the firm's CENTRL Office location in the Pearl District. The talks provide an overview on legal topics that impact entrepreneurs and startups.
