Michael Millender has been appointed Co-Chair of the Tonkon Torp Business Department.
Millender is a partner in Tonkon Torp’s Taxation and Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits practice groups. His tax practice focuses on the federal, state, and local taxation of businesses, with an emphasis on the structuring of business transactions and the taxation of corporations, partnerships, and LLCs. In the benefits area, Millender advises clients on a wide range of issues involving retirement plans, equity-based plans, and fringe benefit plans. He frequently represents clients in tax and benefits controversies involving the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, and state and local tax authorities.
The practice groups in Tonkon Torp’s Business Department cover the breadth of the business environment and include a focus on the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, taxation and corporate governance, real estate and land use, and entrepreneurial services, among others.
