Tonkon Torp was a workshop sponsor at the Right Brain Initiative’s “Imagine This!” creativity symposium for educators on June 16-18. Imagine This! helps classroom teachers, arts teachers, principals, curriculum directors, and teaching artists deepen their ability to integrate the arts into the K-8 classroom setting. The Right Brain Initiative, the arts integration program of the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC), is a partnership of schools, local government, foundations, businesses, and the cultural community. Their mission is to make arts education accessible to every K-8 student in the Portland tri-county region. Max Miller organized Tonkon’s sponsorship at the symposium. He is vice-chair of the RACC board of directors, and a member of the Right Brain Initiative’s Government Committee.
