Tonkon Torp was a patron sponsor at the March 6 “Power of the Purse” fundraiser event held by Girls Inc. at the Portland Hilton. Turid Owren, a Girls Inc. board member, organized Tonkon’s participation with the event. Girls Inc. develops gender specific programs and research-based curricula to provide girls with the confidence and self-esteem to access a bright and economically-independent future.
