Corporate Social Responsibility – Making it Meaningful

The Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) movement is a growing trend within the business community to self-monitor and report the impact of business practices on consumers, employees, communities and the environment. For their article in the Summer 2014 issue of the Oregon State Bar Sustainable Future Section Newsletter, Jeff Cronn and Marco Materazzi survey the CSR movement, outlining the benefits of CSR reporting and identifying the best CSR reporting practices for companies to follow. Jeff and Marco both played an an active role in crafting Oregon’s recently enacted Benefit Company legislation.
