Tonkon Torp Sponsors 2014 Oregon Book Awards Ceremony

Tonkon Torp and its Nonprofit & Tax-Exempt Entities practice group were Program sponsors of the 2014 Oregon Book Awards ceremony held in Portland on March 17. The Oregon Book Awards celebrate the state’s most accomplished writers in the genres of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, young readers, and graphic literature.

Tonkon Torp founding partner Brian Booth was the driving force behind the creation of book awards and fellowship programs for Oregon writers in what is now a program of Oregon Literary Arts. At the time of his death in 2012, Literary Arts Executive Director Andrew Proctor noted, “Brian’s contribution to Oregon culture is difficult to overstate. As our founder, he helped create a program that has helped hundreds and hundreds of writers thrive over the past 25 years.”
