Steven Wilker Discusses Oregon’s Public Records Law for Jefferson Exchange

Steven Wilker appeared as a media law expert on Jefferson Public Radio’s January 6, 2014 Jefferson Exchange program, a live call-in show devoted to current events and news makers from around the region and beyond. The broadcast discussed Oregon’s Public Records Law both generally and in relation to a recent story regarding an Oregon State University student media adviser’s request for public records from the university. The university asserted that she was not entitled to seek records under the Public Records Law as an employee of OSU. Wilker discussed the issues of public records and who is entitled to what.
