Jessica Morgan has joined Tonkon Torp as an associate in the firm’s Financial Services & Investment Management practice group.
She previously was Assistant General Counsel to a Portland-based private equity firm, where she advised the company on investment adviser and investment company compliance, governance, and regulatory matters for new funds and products. She also was responsible for business unit risk assessments, development of an internal compliance management system, and for monitoring and communication with federal and state regulatory bodies on registration, licensing, compliance and corporate governance matters including, but not limited to, drafting and maintaining policy manuals and corporate handbooks.
Prior to her nearly five year tenure at the private equity firm, Morgan assisted in the start-up of a Bend-based online retail store for kids’ outdoor gear.
