Tonkon Torp Litigator Presents at Annual Meeting of Oregon State Bar’s Debtor-Creditor Section

Tonkon Torp attorney Caroline Harris Crowne presented a Continuing Legal Education course for the Oregon State Bar’s Debtor-Creditor Section at its annual meeting in Salishan. She was joined by speakers S. Ward Greene and Matthew A. Levin. The presentation was entitled “Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire? Forum Selection and Its Consequences.” The panelists discussed strategic reasons why creditors, debtors and trustees may choose to bring their claims before various courts or in arbitration, and how they can shift claims filed against them into a different tribunal.

 

Harris Crowne is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on commercial contracts, business owner disputes and forensic accounting issues.
