Harris Crowne Joins Portland City Club’s Research Board

Litigator Caroline Harris Crowne has been appointed to the Research Board of the Portland City Club. A partner in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department, Harris Crowne’s practice focuses on commercial contracts, business owner disputes and forensic accounting issues. She represents clients in both federal and state courts, before judges, juries and arbitrators. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America, 2013 for commercial litigation.

Harris Crowne has served in a variety of leadership roles for the City Club, including chairing a 2009 research study on how to bridge the partisan divide in Oregon’s political system. In 2011 she was honored as Member of the Year in recognition of her outstanding overall contribution to City Club.

The City Club’s Research Board provides oversight and support for the club’s comprehensive and ballot measure study committees. Research Board members identify possible study topics; develop study charges; serve as advisers on individual study committees; and review and approve draft reports on a myriad of public policy issues.
