Tonkon Torp hosted the Le Monde Immersion Public Charter School for an “Iron Chef” fundraiser competition, at which Tonkon was also a sponsor. Tonkon’s participation was organized by Shouka Rezvani, a Le Monde board member. Le Monde Immersion was founded in 2011 by parents and educators for the purpose of creating a full-immersion, French language public charter school in the Portland Public School District.
