Tonkon Torp Labor & Employment Lawyers Write Legal Education Materials for Other Attorneys

Tonkon Torp's Labor & Employment practice group recently wrote four chapters for the website of the Practical Law Company, a legal publishing firm that provides online content for practicing business attorneys. The company taps lawyers with significant practice experience to author chapters covering a wide range of legal matters.

Tonkon Torp was asked to share its expertise in labor and employment law, providing practical advice and perspective to attorneys who will access the information via an online database of topics. Bob Carey and Blerina Kotori wrote a chapter on non-compete laws. Kristin Bremer and Krista Hardwick authored material on wage and hour law. Colin Love-Geiger co-authored chapters with Carey on settlement agreements and with Clay Creps on independent contractors.

"While this effort was a significant amount of work for an already busy practice, we are pleased to have the privilege to share our knowledge of Oregon law with colleagues in the broader legal community," said Carey, practice group leader.

Tonkon Torp's Labor & Employment practice group provides practical solutions to labor and employment problems for a diverse group of Pacific Northwest employers. The firm helps clients promote positive employee relations, protect competitive positions, deal with union activity and defend against or minimize exposure to employment litigation.
