Tonkon Torp has again been named a recommended firm in the 5th edition of Benchmark Litigation, the Guide to America’s Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys. Four of the firm’s litigators have been named local litigation stars in Oregon: Don H. Marmaduke, William F. Martson, Jr., Daniel H. Skerritt and Jon P. Stride.
Marmaduke is a founding partner of Tonkon Torp. He specializes in civil cases before state and federal courts and has tried more than 250 cases including many jury cases. Marmaduke is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers.
Martson also joined Tonkon Torp at its founding in 1974 and has tried over 200 cases involving securities and shareholder rights, among other issues. He is past president of the International Society of Barristers
Skerritt has 35 years of representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation. He is the current State Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a fellow in the International Society of Barristers.
Stride represents businesses and individuals in a variety of disputes before state and federal courts. His practice has particular focus on intellectual property and other complex issues. Stride joined Tonkon Torp in 1990 following a career as a high school teacher and counselor.

The Benchmark publication was developed to provide the general counsel of companies with an analysis of the best commercial litigators in the United States, based upon recommendations and face-to-face interviews. According to Benchmark, local litigation stars are only those individuals who were recommended consistently as reputable and effective litigators by clients and peers during the research interviews.
