Tonkon Torp Cited as One of 100 Best Green Companies in Oregon

Tonkon Torp earned a place on Oregon Business magazine’s 2010 list of “100 Best Green Companies to Work For” and was recently honored at a luncheon hosted by the magazine. The designation is based on results from a portion of the annual Oregon Business employee satisfaction survey of over 500 companies.

Lawyers and staff especially liked the firm’s sustainability efforts, with highest satisfaction going to the comprehensive paper recycling program; the firm’s support for employee commuting by public transit, carpool and bicycle; use of nontoxic, biodegradable materials; commitment to environmental stewardship; and management support for sustainability as part of the firm’s mission.

Tonkon Torp initiated a host of internal sustainability practices more than a decade ago and continues to promote waste reduction, energy conservation, green materials and other measures in the day-to-day operation of the practice.
