Jeanette Schuster was a speaker at the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section meeting on “Hot Environmental Topics”” in Denver, Colorado. Schuster’s presentation covered the Endangered Species Act and the impact of wildlife issues on renewable energy projects. She noted that wildlife issues arise in the siting and permitting stage of energy projects and are a key challenge to obtaining permitting. Schuster is a member of the firm’s Energy Law and Environmental & Natural Resources practice groups.
