Attorney Ryan Bledsoe donates his time, energy and professional expertise to the Forest Park Conservancy, the organization which supports responsible stewardship of Portland’s much-admired Forest Park through trail maintenance, habitat restoration, education and advocacy. One of the country’s largest urban forest reserves, Forest Park includes 5,157 acres of land that have been preserved for the past 60 years by Oregonians.
An avid hiker and runner, Bledsoe is Vice-Chair of the Conservancy’s board of directors and spends time every week enjoying the park and the Wildwood Trail. Along with his wife and son, Bledsoe participated in the 2011 Forest Park Conservancy All Trails Challenge, walking approximately 80 miles of trails while raising awareness and funds for the Conservancy.
“Forest Park is one of Portland’s treasures – the envy of other communities throughout the country,” says Ryan Bledsoe. “As an advocate for habitat restoration, conservation and education of the public about this great resource, I’m honored to serve on the Conservancy’s board and for Tonkon Torp to be recognized as its pro bono counsel. This organization is a great example of Oregonians caring for the incredible natural resources that surround us and enhance our lives.”
