Tonkon Torp litigator Jon Stride has been selected by the Portland Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC) as a finalist for its Leadership in Law award. The award recognizes individuals whose leadership in the legal profession and the community has made a positive impact on Oregon.
Stride is one of 19 finalists who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in law, involvement in the profession, support of the community and commitment to mentoring. The Leadership in Law finalists will be honored at a March 15 dinner hosted by the DJC.
"Jon has been an exemplary leader here at Tonkon Torp and in the legal community for many years," said Mike Morgan, managing partner. "In addition to building a significant legal practice, he has taken on important leadership roles within the firm, serving on our diversity task force and the managing board (including chairing that board) and chairing our hiring committee. He also served on the Executive Committee of the Law Firm Alliance, a world-wide consortium of law firms of which Tonkon Torp is a member. Perhaps most importantly, Jon has been an invaluable mentor and role model to our associates, helping them to develop into outstanding Tonkon Torp lawyers."
Stride is a member of the Tonkon Torp Litigation Department. In his practice of over two decades, he has represented businesses and individuals in all types of commercial disputes in state and federal courts as well as mediations and arbitrations.
