Jackson Lewis Explores Estate Planning and Charitable Giving Topics

spoke on January 15 to the Northwest Planned Giving Roundtable. During his exploration of topics at the intersection between estate planning and charitable giving, Jackson spoke about the impact of increased federal transfer tax exemption amounts on planned giving and the countervailing trend of donors feeling wealthier. He also covered challenges and opportunities in gifts which require fiduciary administration by the charity.
Jackson chairs the firm’s Estate Planning
practice group and advises clients on a variety of estate, tax, and probate issues. His practice includes counseling closely-held businesses on estate and succession planning.
