Tonkon Torp Welcomes Three New Partners

Tonkon Torp LLP has elected Ryan Bledsoe, Marco Materazzi, and Jeanette Schuster to the partnership, effective January 1, 2015.

 

A trial lawyer, Bledsoe handles a variety of cases in federal and state courts including shareholder oppression, trust, securities, antitrust, and environmental matters. He chairs the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section and has been named an Oregon “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers. Bledsoe joined the firm in 2007 following his graduation, summa cum laude, from University of Arizona, Rogers College of Law. Before attending law school, he worked as a financial analyst for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.

 

Materazzi is a general business lawyer with a practice focused on emerging growth companies, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and a range of other business matters. He played an active role in crafting the Oregon Benefit Company legislation that took effect on January 1, 2014, and he serves on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar’s Securities Regulation Section. Materazzi joined Tonkon Torp in 2010 after three years at a large international law firm in London. He is a 2005 graduate of UCLA School of Law.  

 

Schuster is a member of the Environmental & Natural Resources Practice Group. She provides advice and practical solutions on environmental compliance and enforcement matters and on commercial and real estate transactions for clients in diverse industries large and small. A 2002 graduate, magna cum laude, of Lewis & Clark Law School, Schuster joined Tonkon Torp in 2008 after three years at another firm. She has authored papers and articles on environmental law matters and was named to the 2014 Chambers USA, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business for environmental law.
