On September 23, Tonkon Torp attorney Michael Willes spoke about waivers at the NALS of Oregon Fall Board and Educational Conference. During his presentation, Michael reviewed the various forms that waivers can take, discussed recent Oregon cases concerning the enforceability of releases, and highlighted areas in which waiving contractual rights is common.
Michael is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. He represents clients in a broad range of matters, including contract, negligence, and fraud cases.
NALS of Oregon is the state chapter of NALS, a national association for legal professionals that provides members with continuing legal education, certifications, resources, and training.
