Dan Skerritt Shares Cross-Examination Skills with Young Lawyers

Trial lawyer Dan Skerritt recently spoke to the Young Lawyers Section of the Multnomah Bar Association on the art of cross-examination. He provided tips on how to improve cross-examination skills, ways to organize topics to take advantage of opportunities to emphasize important themes, and how to rebut the opposing witnesses’ direct examination. Dan’s presentation is part of a series that teaches litigation skills to young lawyers.

Dan represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and has achieved some of Oregon’s largest awards and settlements. Dan also has been a tireless advocate for equal access to justice and adequate funding of the judicial branch of government.
