Corbett Gordon Speaks to Criminal Defense Lawyers and Practice Managers on Management Practices

Corbett Gordon spoke on October 22 at a best practices firm management seminar held as part of the two-day annual conference of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Corbett co-presented a performance management session that focused on setting up management and human resource practices to ensure excellence. Her remarks addressed avoiding common employment law pitfalls from pre-hire to post termination, evaluating employee excellence, taking a good look at your leadership, helping employees both to grow and to succeed at delivering excellence, planning for and transitioning into retirement, and firm succession planning.

A member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, Gordon is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected labor and employment lawyers. With more than three decades of experience representing private and public sector employers in traditional labor matters, she has also defended employment cases before juries in state and federal courts in Oregon and Washington and successfully prevailed in client appeals in state and federal courts as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court.
