Corbett Gordon Gives HR Pros Tools for Tough Conversations

was a keynote speaker at the recent 2015 Labor & Employment Law Advanced Practices (LEAP) conference in Las Vegas. Her session, “Tools for Tough HR-Management Conversations,” shared practical advice with HR pros about taking the edge off tough compliance/claim prevention conversations and how they could approach their role as one of business partner rather than enforcer. The approach features both effective soft skills for maximizing communications with a company's managers and an assessment formula for partnering with decision makers to analyze the best approach, given that company's tolerance for legal risk.
