Tonkon Torp Attorney Honored for Pro Bono Work

Edwin (Ned) C. Perry, chair of Tonkon Torp's Litigation Department, recently was honored by the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce for his pro bono work with an area nonprofit organization.

City of Gresham Mayor Shane Bemis presented Perry with a "Golden Note Award" for his volunteer work with Human Solutions, Inc., a nonprofit organization working on homelessness and poverty issues in mid- and east-Multnomah County. Perry has volunteered legal services to HSI for seven years and has served on the organization's board for the past six years. He currently is vice chair of the board. He was nominated for the award by Human Solutions executive director Jean DeMaster.

Perry, a commercial litigator, is a partner at Tonkon Torp. He joined the firm in 1984 following his graduation from the University of Oregon School of Law. His litigation, mediation and arbitration practice focuses on complex contract, construction and real estate disputes.

"As a regional law firm, community involvement and community service is part of our heritage and one of our ongoing values at Tonkon Torp," said Michael Morgan, Tonkon Torp's managing partner. "We are delighted to see Ned's commitment recognized by HSI and the Gresham Chamber."
