Vicki has been a lawyer since 1986 and has focused on intellectual property law since 1999. She served as Chair of the Firm's Intellectual Property Group from 2003 until 2010. She works with both technology and traditional manufacturing companies to protect intellectual property and to minimize performance and infringement risks.

Columbia River Knife and Tool Company

Vicki represents Columbia River Knife and Tool Company in negotiations with the most innovative custom knife makers and designers in the industry, including, Ken Onion and Ryan Glasgow. Vicki recently revamped CRKT's design agreement to simplify it and make it easier to understand.

Hood River Distillers is the Northwest’s largest and oldest importer, producer, marketer and bottler of distilled spirits, including its most popular brand, Pendleton Whisky. Vicki assists HRD with its inbound and outbound domestic and cross border licensing of PENDLETON - LET 'ER BUCK Canadian whisky.

Jenkon is the world leader in web-based sales force compensation system software for the direct selling industry around the world. Its customers are large, multinational companies whose names everyone recognizes. Vicki helps Jenkon negotiate trade secret and other intellectual property ownership protections and risk allocation issues.

Key Technology, Inc.

Key Technology designs, manufactures and markets process automation systems with technology that integrates automated optical inspection systems, specialized conveyor systems, and processing/preparation systems, as well as research, development, and world-class engineering. Its customers are some of the world's largest fruit, vegetables, potatoes, snacks, cereals, meat, tobacco, pet food, plastics, and pharmaceutical/nutraceutical companies. Vicki works with in-house counsel on major customer contracts and negotiations.

M Financial Holdings Incorporated

M Financial is a nationwide organization of independent insurance, investment and executive benefits firms serving the needs of ultra-affluent individuals and Fortune 1000 companies. M Financial asked Vicki to develop templates by which M Financial would sublicense software and web-based services to M Financial's member firms.

NIKE, Inc.

NIKE is the world's leading designer, marketer and distributor of authentic athletic footwear, apparel, equipment and accessories for a wide variety of sports and fitness activities. Vicki was selected in a competitive process to oversee creation of a standardized legal clause library, as well as templates for a Master Software License Agreement, Master Professional Services Agreement, and Trademark License Agreement. Vicki also works with NIKE's in-house lawyers on various projects.

Samson Sports makes premium wakeboard towers and boating accessories. Vicki helps Samson Sports protect its trademarks and patented technology.

Shedrain Corporation

Shedrain is the most knowledgeable, diversified umbrella company in the United States. It is known for its innovation, fashion design and quality. When Shedrain wanted to hire a famous Chinese designer, Vicki drafted and negotiated that contract. She also helped Shedrain create its international distributor agreement template.

Vicki, her husband Norm, and their yellow lab B.J., live in Banks, Oregon, on property at the foothills of the Oregon coast range. Vicki and her husband have two children. Julie is a detective for the Vancouver Police Department. Matt owns a mold remediation and prevention business.

Vicki loves to fly fish on the Big Horn River in southeast Montana.
