Robyn was born in Seattle and has lived in Portland since 2000 when she finished her appellate clerkship at the D.C. Court of Appeals and began her legal career at Tonkon Torp. Robyn and her husband David have two young children who have proven themselves native Oregonians by splashing in every puddle they have ever seen and complaining when the sun comes out that it is blinding them.

Robyn enjoys hiking, tennis, horseback riding, and kayaking. She is a long-time supporter of local theater, including currently serving on the board of Portland Story Theater.
