Marco is a general business lawyer with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and a range of other business matters. He has significant experience advising clients with respect to corporate governance, intellectual property protection, regulatory compliance, entity structure, shareholder agreements and general contract negotiation.

Marco's experience includes advising clients in the technology, manufacturing, energy, retail, financial services and nonprofit industries.

Prior to joining Tonkon Torp, Marco worked in London (and briefly in Hong Kong) for Herbert Smith LLP, a large, international law firm. There he represented corporate clients and investment banks in a wide range of business transactions, including public and private securities offerings, M&A and debt refinancing. Marco gained two years of business law experience with the Portland office of Perkins Coie before moving to London.

Marco was a 2005 graduate of UCLA School of Law. He worked as a legal intern for the American Civil Liberties Union, was a teaching fellow, and taught legal principles to high school students through the LeBouf Scholar program.

Marco is highly proficient in Spanish and Italian.  In his free time he enjoys fly fishing, skiing, soccer, and spending time with his family.
